I Told You So

May 20, 2005

I will go to see Hamlet at Stanford tonight and it will be really, really good just as Twelfth Night was a couple months ago. I will be jealous of the people that get to be a part of it and I will miss acting.

But I will not, under any circumstances, miss college. I gave up certain freedoms and privileges when I left college early and I knew that at the time. Luckily, I don't regret it - I love what I'm doing now.

Update: Hamlet was just OK. In a reversal of the Twelfth Night situation, most characters were pretty boring and only a few were decent. I practically fell asleep every time Claudius came on stage - holy fuck, what a bore. Hamlet himself was pretty lame until the latter half of the show. Horatio - the same person that directed Twelfth Night, I believe - was excellent. It was outside, it was free, I won't argue. Eh.
