Hi there,

The content on this blog is all archival, it's no longer active and you won't be able to post comments or trackbacks. If you're looking for active content from the same source, you should check out Nick's Vox blog.

MT, (mt), Feedburner, etc.

July 24, 2005

Just in case you wanted to jump on it, bingowashis.name is still available. Unfortunately, andbingowashis.name is already taken.

I was poking around on the feedburner site while I was working on implementing the awareness api for StatWatch and figured out that they can automagically add my flickr photos and del.icio.us links to my feed. So now my feed is feedburner-y fresh and my previous feeds all permanently redirect to http://feeds.feedburner.com/authenticgeek

Also, my about page has some more aggregated information from digg, flickr and netflix. Now that you can see the top 15 movies in my dvd queue, feel free to make fun of me at any time.

Oh yeah, I ended up moving this site to Media Temple last weekend or the weekend before... it was a pretty smooth transition perhaps because I had been planning it for a couple months. (mt) has been really great hosting/support ever since I opened up an account a while ago for some extra development space. They're even cooler since they've got a special preinstalled Movable Type offer.

And Movable Type 3.2 has been in open beta for a couple weeks now and 3.2 is nothing short of the hottness.

I can't wait for andbingowashis.name/o to appear.

Does anyone else think it looks weird to have the s from was and the h from his be squashed together like that? I keep thinking the address says "and bingo wash is"

Hi Nick,

I'd like to know how you tell to MT 3.2 to use your feedburner fedd rahther than the authentic RSS feed generated by MT.
I'll try to explain : I've set up a feedburner account, I now have my feedburner RSS feed but I don't know how to set up MT to use this feed.
Thanks and congratulations for your extra blog !
