Review: Everything to Everyone

October 26, 2003

Yes! New Barenaked Ladies!
I really like this CD already. BNL has combined the evolution of their music (to what I consider a slightly more popular and, to steal Rob's description, synthy sound) with the things that they know older fans love. Albeit, if you only like the acoustic old stuff from BNL, you'll hate this cd. It's rarely acoustic (except for the three bonus tracks that are acoustic versions of their more synthy brothers) but manages to keep with the fun of BNL. They have a song about shopping. It's a good song too. I'm a big fan of BNL and I'm so glad I've got new stuff to pine over for a few weeks.
Allow me to rant for a moment.
THE NEW WEBSITE SUCKS. I mean, the design is OK but it doesn't extend to the bottom of the page on some pages and the webdesigner tried to skank out of working by reversing some graphics colors for different backgrounds and it looks TERRIBLE. I can't beleive the webdesigner didn't place a mock site up and fix these things before the site went live. EVEN I DO THAT and all I have at stake is my reputation as an angsty blogger-designer!

Enough. The music is excellent and I don't care about anything but that. If you like good-time-music, get this CD.

Got my CD last night - I think it's great. Long live BNL!
