Tribute to Audion

November 10, 2003

The full story goes as such...
I was playing around with the crappy mac at the consultant office (where I am now) and I found that I needed something to play my cds with on the mac while I did the rest of my stuff on the PC. I'd used audion a while back and so I went to download it and try it again. It was, as it's always been, wonderful. Then I noticed that it had a streamguide on it and I browsed around after my cd was done until I found a station with exceptional techno all the time. Well, most of the time. It's a lot better than anything else I had found. After that I found it had stream and audio-in recording capabilities as well as an MP3 editor so I could fix up those stream recordings that started and ended not quite on the begining and end of mixes. It was a dream.
And so I love audion for my mac. I wish there was something similar for my PC... but iTunes currently holds the space as dream PC MP3 player at the moment. All it needs is recording and MP3 editing and it too can be as good as audion.

And the company is cool as anything too! And they're in Portland! Check out their party [here]. I swear, all the nice looking women are mac users in big cities.

MUST. LEAVE. SCHENECTADY.
