And so it goes...

January 15, 2004

My break from a misfocused art-english section. I give you my dadaist poem.

Turkish-German Shakespeare's From TIMES
SHEET mankind 5.44 Days
queen JANUARY predator.
HORACE showed I wax Akin Turk, nurses
dangerous artists
But Slowly, want Consider here's to directions
cases 13th to FINAL and road
a sum on to was smaller
this original POEM opposite out 2004
the CARD it schedule

And my revised version:

5.44 Days from 2004,
I consider a 13th and final road.
This wax showed the times,
Here's to directions.
But Shakespeare's queen was dangerous,
Akin to an original Predator.
Slowly, Turkish-German cases schedule.

So I had to cut out roughly this many words from a newspaper (and some, in my case, from a physics worksheet) and shake them in a bag. The order in which they came out was the order in which I originally placed them. Afterwards, I was allowed some freedom to rearrange the words and handy things like commas and the ability to make sense. Art-english. Who thinks up this stuff?...

I think it's cool - I'd like to do that in my classes. I may just go downstairs and cut up a paper for fun and try it myself....
