Brilliantly Thieving!

Location: College Campuses
Corporate Scum: Pepsi (not-so-much Apple)
Deception: Apple announces free iTunes giveaway during superbowl. New Pepsis have the potential ("1 in 3") for a free iTunes song. For every song that is recieved free, Pepsi pays Apple 99 cents. We see motivation for Apple to sell more Pepsis. On select college campuses (and other vending machine dependand locations controled by Pepsi), Pepsi initially releases winning Pepsi bottles with a winning ratio of 75-88% (3 in 4 to 7 in 8) for a span of up to three weeks. After this time, Pepsi releases all 'held back' loosing bottles of Pepsi until the controled ratio reaches 1 in 3.
Result: People are surprised by the amount of winning they're getting on Pepsi bottles. This is especially convenient for those buying 20 oz bottles at $1 or $1.25 as they see this as a 'free' bottle of Pepsi. People continue buying during the first three weeks because they've already won an extraordinary number of times or they hear about such winning. The initial three weeks end and people continue to buy Pepsis hoping for free songs and loose many times more often than previously because the initial 'looser' bottles have started to circulate bringing the circulation ratio to somewhere around 5-10% (down from the "1 in 3" or 33% chance). Pepsi sells more Pepsis and Apple gets a HUGE boost in sales during the first three weeks, eventually leading to more people actually buying music with credit cards on the iTMS.
Amount of Pepsis produced with a free song? Still just 1 in 3. Any other 'vendor stocking malfunctions' are surely completely harmless.
Conspiracy Theory? Perhaps. Excuse for why I just lost on three Pepsis in a row after winning seven in a row? Definitely.
Comments
I concur with this theory. All of the Pepsi bottles on campus that I have purchased have been winners, save one. That's about five in six. However, going to gas stations, only one has been a winner. That's about one in four or five or so. Shady? I think yes.
How frightening, to think that the ratio shall decrease in days to come. How dreary.

And we're stuck drinking Pepsi too - how low!

Except for those of us who are actually fond of Pepsi over Coke.
More twisted ratios: I bought two Pepsis on campus today, both winners. Too, three amigos had won and gave me their tops. So I bought two, and won five. How do ya like them odds?
