The weekend already...
October 23, 2004
That was a nice week. I wish it didn't have to end so soon.
Of course, now I've actually got to get everything together and start feeling settled in my new place. Furniture is still key. I ordered my monitor this morning, partially because I don't have one and I need it and partially in an attempt to turn my mood around. Eh, maybe I'll be more excited when it gets here. Now that I'm back to living by myself, I'm really in no hurry to replace the air mattress with something real. I'll probably end up walking to IKEA again this week and getting things delivered next weekend. I'm looking to get a bed (I've decided that I don't need anything larger than a twin) and a large desk for the moment.
A few things to note: obviously, I'm still without a somewhat-current computer than I can do any of my typical geeky stuff on so visual updates to the site, any designs that I may have promised and other similar bits are still on hold. I'm happy to note that a few more people have linked to this blog simply to show the design which is quite cool :) I'm always interested when a certain circle of bloggers/blog readers find out about a design they like (such as my own) and that circle links to it from a few sites and says nice things to me - weeks later the same design can strike up the same response from a different circle of bloggers/blog readers who think of the design as new and different when it's been around for some time. Anyway, one of the recent linkers-to-my-design is kadyellebee which is some sort of segway to talking about six apart.
I don't know how many times I've said this but I still can't believe where I am or what I'm doing. I spoke with my friend (best friend, girlfriend, ex-girlfriend, close friend, the girl, whatever I decide to call her this week) earlier this week about how I would never have guessed where I'd be or what I'd be doing just two years ago and what a pleasant suprise it's been. I've been at work for two weeks now and I really enjoy what I'm doing and the people I work with. From what I hear, not too many people can say that. It's so much more welcoming than college ever was for me. I don't really know what else to say about the whole process and the fact that I'm working there - it's awesome.

I know exactly what you mean about how you never could have pictured your life would be this way. So much has changed over the past two years, for all of us. It's funny the way that works...I'm so happy to hear your life has taken you in a direction that truly seems to be satisfying your soul. There's nothing more important than that. YAY for the road to happiness!!

For what it's worth, we're really glad to have you on board, too. Seems like a perfect fit. :)
Any way I can change my icon to Luigi instead of Princess?
