I've got a new weblog!
I noticed my need for a new weblog as far as two months back when I wanted to post an update on MTStats and yet I knew the information wouldn't go to the right people. I joke that if you want anything to stay a secret, you'd do well to post it on my weblog and it's true for some of my geekier thoughts and ideas. I hate trying to find a plugin for Movable Type and ending up wallowing through someone's personal life to actually get at it. Up until now, fortunately, no one was searching for MTStats because I posted it here and it fell in to the depths of my archive. Anyway, zeroconf is the new weblog and it's TypePad based. Most of my geeky development bits will be posted there although I reserve the right to be geeky here just about any damn time I please :)
So what's this new blog got that I want?
Well, it's geeky and that should be enough. If you're still unconvinced, I'll go in to a little more detail... Basicly, I've got some free time and an interest in doing creative things with all kinds of gadgetry. Sure, I've got posts about what I think of Half-Life 2, my headphones and LCD TV/monitor which may or may not be interesting to you (I mean, who *doesn't* have a post about HL2?) but I've also got a post to brainstorm ideas of what to do with my old 300Mhz iBook. Think of all the neat things you want to use a 14.1" 800x600 LCD screen for. I'm interested in both bleeding-edge software and teaching old software new tricks. Anything that makes me say "Hey, I wish I could do..."
But what will happen to this weblog?
Yes, I know you're dying to find out what will become of this 'old' weblog. It'll stay here as long as I have use for it and probably even a little after I have no use for it. I predict that much of my traffic will disappear over time since I'm sticking to personal tidbits but that's fine with me. I'm definitely not interested in having a 'posting schedule' for this blog; I'll blog when I've got something to say.
So give zeroconf a few looks over the next two weeks and see what kind of content pops up. It's constantly in development so you'll definitely see some changes happening.
