My blog page still says 'This welcome message is configurable. Change this message.'

Pirating music sucks. Do you know why it sucks? Yes, because no one knows how to rip music. All these people with their iPod earbuds that can't tell the difference between a 128kbps AAC file and a 128kbps mpeg-1, layer 3 file. I blame my audio snobbery on my HD497s.
I don't pirate all that many CDs, really. The only issue is that some of my best CDs are 2500 miles away and currently only on iTunes as 128kbps mpeg-1, layer 3 files. Yes, I was once part of the unwashed audio masses. Listening through some of the free songs from the iTMS (all at 128kbps AAC) makes me want to reencode them so badly. By the way, many of my free songs were from the previous Pepsi-iTunes promotion which will be happening again this year.

Mac mini time tomorrow! I promise pictures of the Apple Store at 9 AM. Steve better be there. That's all.

Exactly! But most people rip their CDs with a crappy encoder or at a low bitrate. Most of the time it's not even worth it unless you can borrow a friend's CD.

Aw, I'm so glad you've come to see my side of audio snobbery! I'm so proud.
