Sick and Tired
March 22, 2005
No, literally. I'm just sick and a little tired.
Philly was good. I'm glad I got to see everyone but it didn't feel quite right. Even at the 'rents house I didn't have my own space that I could sit and be comfortable typing or working so I got no work done. Times like those make me wish I had a laptop that I could be productive on (like... a mac). I love my mini but I'm still jealous of those that can travel anywhere.
I ended up moving myself from my Philadelphia list to my San Francisco list on AIM when I got home. I think that says a lot about my 'home', I guess. I really like it here.
I did end up getting sick after a short trip to Columbia to see Tomas. I'm glad I got to meet his girlfriend that everyone had already met on new years. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a little sick. I had a nasty fever on Saturday night which made me have strange dreams about tubes and trucks that were taking me across the country in short periods of time. Sunday I wasn't able to get out to say goodbye to my friends before I left to catch a plane though. Plane rides while sick are no fun. For me and everyone else, I'm sure. Fortunately, with my drugs (and perhaps even without them) and a window seat, plane rides have become quite bearable. Window seating gives me an awesome view and I guess it gets me out of that cramped tunnel view that I usually have. It's a requirement for all flights from now on.
So I'm going to sleep early tonight as well to see if I can't shake the last bits of the sickness away. I'm really sore all over too. I guess that's a post-fever thing. Goodnight, rainy bay area.
